Instructor Bios: Rick Dunn, of SafeMARINER, LLC Certified Safety and Health Manger, Certified Occupational Safety and Health Trainer, TMSA Auditor, Internal marine auditor, former member of AWO’s Responsible Carrier Program Board. Former Vetting Manager-North America, SeaRiver Maritime, Inc., USCG Licensed Master, USCG approved simulator instructor for tugs, pilots and ships. American Society of Safety Engineers Professional. Capt. David A. Foret, Jr., President of the ACTion group David has over 40 years’ experience in the towing vessel industry. He started the ACTion group in 1999. He holds a Merchant Mariner Credential endorsed as Master of Towing Vessels, Tankerman-PIC (Barge) Dangerous Liquids and Liquefied Gas cargoes, TVIB-Certified Subchapter M Auditor certification, TVIB-Certified Subchapter M Surveyor including Dry-Dock/Internal Structural Exam, he is also a certified ISO 9000 Lead Auditor, TMSA Auditor, and Crew Endurance Management Systems (CEMS) Expert. He serves as Chairman of the Houston Pilot Board’s, Pilot Board Investigation Review Committee (PBIRC) representing the interests of the Brownwater towing vessel community for the past 20 years. Cancellation Policy: Cancellations must be submitted one week (7 days) prior to the first day of the course. Please note that a cancellation fee of $150 will be charged. No refund will be issued for non-attendance without notification, or for early withdrawal from the course.
